The SU president meets the research team for the Austrian African Universities Network Project

This morning, representatives of the Afro-Austrian University Network Project Team (Africa-UniNet) were met by Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president at his office. It was attended by Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamed Famy, the dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Abdul Hamid Rasmy, the undersecretary of the faculty, and Dr. Ali Majed, the lecturer at the Faculty of Science.

Moreover, Al-Sharkawi stated that this visit is a part of workshop events held within the framework of the partnership between Suez University, the Austrian Cultural Exchange Agency (Oead), and the Network of African-Austrian Universities (Africa-UniNet) to exchange insights and experiences for the implementation of project activities "Biosorbents for sustainable wastewater treatment".

This project aims to find sustainable and environmentally friendly ways to dispose of pollutants and treat wastewater and to reduce climate changes resulting from pollution of the environment using materials from these countries' local environments.

The research team, which included members from Austria and South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana, as well as the Egyptian research team, praised the university's potential and joint cooperation with Suez University, noting that the workshop is going on throughout the current week.
