Suez University participates in the COP27 Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheik

As part of Suez University's interest in actively participating in COP 27 and believing in the role, it plays in contributing to these events and using science as a means to promote the development wheel.

A delegation of the university participated in COP27 Climate Change Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh. The delegation consists of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamed Fami, the dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamza, the professor of Marine and Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Fish Resources. Moreover, the SU participated in a project to monitor the impact of climate changes on the elements of the marine environment using a marine buoy on which sensitivities are fastened to measure the carbon dioxide temperature pH of marine currents and others. The sensitivities show these measurements to a computer-centered on land and use this system as an early warning to counter the deviation from natural values because of climate changes. This project was selected among the projects presented at the Climate Change Conference to showcase the activities and activities of Egyptian government universities in Galala.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, opened the exhibition on Tuesday as one of the events of COP27, which lasts until 11/18. The minister inspected the university exhibition and listened to a detailed explanation of the prototype and recommended knowing the following of the project.
