Suez University signs a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Marine Science and Fisheries (NIOF)

In his office, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, met this morning with Prof. Dr. Adel Ali Ahmed, the President of the National Institute of Marine and Fisheries Sciences to sign a memorandum of understanding between the University and the National Institute of Marine and Fisheries Sciences. Therefore, it was attended by Prof. Dr. Osama Qadour, the Dean of the Faculty of Fish Resources.

The SU President stated that this memorandum is the basis for cooperation between the University and the Institute to strengthen the cooperation relations between the two sides in the fields of education on three lines:

* The focus of research, scientific projects, and studies.

* Community service and environmental development.

* In the field of training.

Hnijal explained that both sides agreed to maximize the use of laboratory potential, facilitate analytical procedures and the use of devices between the parties, as well as exchange experiences in scientific research and joint-supervision.

Furthermore, The SU President noted that this agreement will provide an opportunity for periodic meetings and joint scientific conferences, the establishment of distinguished study programs for bachelor's and postgraduate students, the adoption of distinguished students, innovators, and scientific talents, as well as the training of students in laboratories and multiple sites of the Institute.

In the same vein, Hnijal pointed out that the agreed training pillar would allow for the development of an effective training matrix to qualify students at the Faculty of Fish Resources for qualification for the labor market.

It is worth mentioning that the National Institute of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (NOIF) is one of the national research institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It was established in 1918 and consists of four branches that conduct research in specific thematic and geographical areas.
