SU President invites the affiliates of the university to participate in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects...

This ambitious initiative, under the auspices of auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic since its launch in 2022, under the decision of His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister.

In addition, the initiative is concerned with the issue of climate change and its impact on the various sectors of the Egyptian State. It also emphasizes the State's direction to empower the private sector, civil society, youth, and women to promote the various sectors; This is part of the country's efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals, Egypt's Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Climate Change 2050.

The initiative includes the following categories:

  1. Large-scale projects.
  2. Intermediate projects.
  3. Small local enterprises (especially associated with the Haya Karima initiative).
  4. Projects submitted by startups.
  5. Development projects on women, climate change, and sustainability.
  6. Non-profit community initiatives and participation.

Green smart projects are being registered on the online platform. The National Arbitration Commission will select the initiative's winning projects according to specific criteria, foremost among which will be the expected impact on the local community in terms of dealing with the challenges of climate and environmental change (or at various levels), the use of a technological component in the application, the proposed business model, the efficiency, and readiness of the team/company.
