Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, The SU Scientific Publishing Unit announces the opening of the Scientific Publishing Awards in Science and Literature, which include the following:

1. University Award for Scientific Excellence

2. University Recognition Award

3. University of Encouragement Award

4. University Scientific Publishing Awards

5. University Award for Best Author's Work

6. University Award for Best Patent

7. University Awards for Best Master's Degree and Doctorate

8. University Women Scholar Award

for the period from 1/1 to 31/12/2023.

This is for the University Awards: Scientific Publishing - For the best work of an author - for the best patent - University Awards for Best Master's Thesis and Doctorate for Teaching Staff Members from 1/1 to 31/12/2023. Other prizes are according to their terms.

1. No sanctions shall be imposed on the applicant and on the applicant's sovereignty to submit a functional statement from his faculty.
2. University leaders (University President – Vice-Presidents of the university) are prohibited from being candidates for the Awards (1-3) above. If one of these leaders applies, he or she will apologize to the Higher Committee for the Awards.
3. An outsourced teaching staff member may not be nominated externally, internally, or fully assigned to the University Awards above, excluding awards (1&2).
4. The applicant shall not combine one of the University Awards (3-1) in the above list with the same scientific production in the same year with one of the State Awards and shall waive one of the two awards and submit an acknowledgment thereof.
5. You may not apply for more than one University Award (3-1) in the same year and only use it every five years.
6. The award may not be awarded to more than one candidate in one specialty. If two candidates for the same award receive the same assessment from the awards committee, it divides its shares between the two candidates.

 

• First: University Award for Scientific and Literary Excellence:

Suez University awards 2 prizes to each of the University's faculties (medical faculties, science, engineering faculties, fisheries) and one prize to the rest of the faculties of the University.

☆ Terms of Award: -

1. To be a professor and have spent five years with a professorship degree at Suez University.

2. To have contributed on behalf of Suez University to the development of education, scientific research, and community development.

3. The research submitted is on behalf of Suez University and was published within at least five years in connection with Suez University, including the year of submission, and that scientific production (literary) has a scientific value attesting to its authenticity and ability to innovate.

4. He has completed outstanding work, and his scientific research does not include receiving a further award from the university.

5. To have competence and giving in academic history (establishment of a scientific an intellectual ideology, establishment of research laboratories, several master's and doctoral theses, technical consultations in the field of community service, members of scientific committees, participation in local and international conferences, costs of scientific and non-scientific books, etc.) and to contribute his research, compositions, and work in the service of the university and the country.

• Second: University's Award of Recognition

Suez University awards 2 prizes to each of the following university faculties (medical faculties, science, engineering faculties, fisheries) and one to the rest of the university's faculties.

☆ Terms of Award: -

1. The applicant must be among the professors at Suez University and have spent five years with an academic degree at Suez University.

2. On behalf of Suez University, Suez University has contributed to the development of education, scientific research, and community development and has a distinct scientific production published in international scientific journals.

3. To have contributed to the University's progress, community service, and environmental development.

4. To have the competence and giving in academic history (establishment of a scientific an intellectual ideology, establishment of research laboratories, several master's and doctoral theses, technical consultations in the field of community service, members of scientific committees, participation in local and international conferences, costs of scientific and non-scientific books, etc.) and to contribute his research, compositions, and work in the service of the university and the country.

• Third: University's Incentive Award

Suez University grants 2 prizes to each of the faculties of the University (medical faculties, sciences, engineering faculties, fisheries) and one prize to the rest of the faculties of the University.

☆ Award Terms: -

1. The applicant shall be among the assistant professors, teachers, and associated staff of Suez University and shall not exceed the age of 45 years at the time of the opening of the application for the award and shall be at least three years before his appointment to Suez University before applying for the award.

2. The prize may not be awarded to more than one candidate who has contributed to a scientific production on behalf of Suez University.

3. To have competence and giving in the educational history and may not apply for the University Incentive Award again until five years have passed.

• Fourth: University Awards for Scientific Publishing (International)

1. The applicant must be a member of the teaching staff or associated staff of Suez University and head the work.

2. No disciplinary sanctions have been imposed on the applicant or any judicial sentence has been handed down for crimes against scientific honor or honor (Submit a status statement of sanctions approved by the faculty for the applicant member).

3. The research presented for the Award was conducted by one of the faculties of the University, registered and written on the research Suez University, and excludes the unscripted research Suez University from 1/1 to 31/12/2023.

4. Research published in international journals shall be included in global databases (Scopus - Web of Science) according to the classification of SJR (Q4 - Q1). It shall not be used for research published in journals, not in the said databases.

5. For gentlemen seconded internally or externally and expatriates, they published research on the university's name and will be honored with certificates of recognition.

 

Fifth: University Award for Best Author's Work

Suez University awards 5 prizes to each of the various disciplines (Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Human and Social Sciences, Fisheries).

☆ Conditions of the Award: -

1. The University grants the award for the best work composed of members of the teaching staff who compose a book or participate with others in its compilation in any of the different fields of science.

2. The author's work should not be taken from university theses but should have been published in the same year as the award.

3. The work is not part of the curriculum prescribed for students of any of the faculty teams to which the applicant belongs.

4. The author's work should include outstanding and genuine contributions that will develop knowledge of society.

5. The works nominated for the Award shall be composed in Arabic, and from authors of teaching staff at the University.

6. To be published in a recognized publishing house and registered in national or international education.

• Sixth: Patent University Award

Suez University awards 5 prizes to each of the various disciplines (Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Human and Social Sciences, Fisheries) and one prize to the rest of the faculties of the University. The value of the award shall be determined each year as determined by the University Council and its certificates of appreciation.

 ☆ Terms of Award: -

1. The applicant must be a member of the teaching staff or associated staff of Suez University and head the work.

2. No disciplinary sanctions have been imposed on the applicant or any judicial sentence has been handed down for crimes against scientific honor or honor (Submit a status statement of sanctions approved by the faculty for the applicant member).

3. The patent must be local or international in the name of Suez University

4. The patent submitted for the award was received in the same year as the prizes.

5. Submission of documents indicating that he has obtained the patent from international certificates.

• Seventh: University Awards for Best Master's Degree and Doctorate

Suez University awards 2 first awards for the best master's degree and the best doctoral thesis.

☆ Terms of Award: -

1. The applicant must be a member of the associated staff of Suez University.

2. The master's and doctoral thesis shall be registered in one of the faculties of the University or abroad with the consent of Suez University and shall not have passed the award of both master's and doctoral degrees more than three years from the date of the award of the degree.

3. The candidate does not receive any prize for the thesis submitted.

4. Applicants for the Best Doctoral Thesis Award published at least two researchers in internationally indexed and well-developed court journals affecting scientific and applied disciplines and researchers in indexed and laboratory court journals affecting social and humanitarian disciplines in Arabic.

5. Applicants for the award of the best master's thesis published by at least two researchers in internationally indexed court journals with a laboratory influence in scientific and applied disciplines and researchers in indexed court journals with a laboratory influence in the cases of social and humanitarian disciplines in Arabic.

• Eighth: University Women's Scholar Award

1. The applicant shall be a member of the faculty of Suez University and shall do scientific research on behalf of Suez University. The Woman Scholar Award may not be combined with any of the awards (1-3) of the University Awards.

2. Have scientific or literary literature on women's rights and their social and creative roles.

3. To be involved in several charitable, community, and environmental projects.

4. To contribute to the University's scientific and academic development and community service on behalf of Suez University.

5. To have the competence and giving in the educational history and may not be presented for the University Award for Women Researchers again until five years have passed.
