This morning, the opening ceremony of the first student activities festival at Suez University was launched with the participation of 28 Egyptian universities, organized by Suez University in cooperation with the Leadership Development Institute under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Hnijal, SU President, in the presence of General Staff of War Abdelmadjid Saqr, Suez Governor, Prof. Dr. Karim Hammam, Adviser to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activism and Director of the Leadership Development Institute, as well as SU Vice-Presidents, faculties Deans, Teaching Staff Members, and a several members of people and executive leaders in the governorate through the Al-Nasr Petroleum Gymnasium.
The celebration events began with the queue of Egyptian universities followed by the Republican National Anthem. Following that, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, welcomed the attendees and students participating from Egyptian universities. He also noted the importance of student activities as a basis for building students' personalities as one of the most important means of discovering and refining talents and abilities in various fields.
Moreover, the SU President stressed that the organization of such activities comes within the framework of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Egyptian President to make the utmost effort to upgrade the abilities of the Egyptian youth. In addition, he asserted that the Egyptian state would not restrict our pride in Sinai in the words of honor while every day the Egyptian State would make an unprecedented effort to develop Sinai, and from which we are part of the University of Switzerland lost the completion of its construction operations in the first year of Nawadis. (Faculties of Science, Literature, Commerce and Education) at a cost of over one billion, one hundred and ten million pounds after finishing work, for this university to be one of the great projects for the development of the beloved year. Lastly, he thanked the attendees and wished all the students participating in the Festival success from various Egyptian universities.
From the SU side, concrete construction and buildings have been completed in the Suez University branch of Abordis, South Sinai, which represents the first stage: (faculties of Science, Literature, Commerce, and Education) at a cost of more than one billion, one hundred and ten million pounds after the grand finishing work of the university. Lastly, he thanked the attendees and wished all the students participating in the Festival success from various Egyptian universities.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Karim Hammam, Director of the Leadership Development Institute and Adviser to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities, noted that his childhood was full of national experiences, pointing out that Egypt's flag is a symbol of patriotism. "Hammam" sent congratulations to His Excellency President Abdelfattah El-Sisi on the occasion of Sinai Liberation. Mr. Hamam also paid tribute to the SU President and Suez Governor conveying the greetings of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for them, stressing his wishes of success for students.
Meanwhile, General Staff of War Abdelmadjid Saqr, Suez Governor, delivered a speech through which he welcomed students from various universities of Egypt on the land of Suez. He stated that the Egyptian State has made more accomplishments over the past few years than in the days of Muhammad Ali's rule. He emphasized that commitment is the secret to excellence and progress, stressing that the current generation is the future of this country as they are tomorrow's leaders. Mr. Governor noted that the real winner is the one who gained new experiences and developed his potential.
The second part of the ceremony began with art shows by the Coral Harmony Arabic team at Ain Shams University, led by Maestro Mahmoud Wahid, where there was an atmosphere of interaction among students and attendees.
This was followed by artistic and folkloric shows of students from the SU Faculty of Physical Education, such as the Peasant, Pharaonic, and Shamsia shows, as well as sports performances for Karate and fitness sports.
