This morning, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi inaugurated the New academic year with flag greetings and a national anthem ceremony. It was attended by SU vice presidents, deans of the faculties, staff members, employees, and students. Lieutenant-Colonel/ Amr Hsanin, the director of military education administration at the University, also conducted the ceremony.

After that, the SU president delivered a speech congratulating the attendances on the start of the new academic year. He also explained the development of Suez University over the past few years, having included 6 faculties compared to now as it includes 16 faculties and institutes in addition to the Nano Research Institute. Moreover, the SU president stated that the existence of Suez University in Suez is a strong base for human development in the university region, where the University provides many of its services to the surrounding community through the University's cadres in various disciplines.

The SU president stressed the need for everyone to adhere to both lectures and other work related to the educational process under the directives of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who emphasized the need for readiness and commitment of all to complete the university year with the utmost efficiency.

Al-Sharqawi then tackled the topic of Egyptian State-building and the new Republic, which requires concerted efforts to achieve these objectives. He explains that this will be achieved only by working hard and not paying attention to demolitionists and rumor-mongers. SU President stressed the need to be careful of any information circulated on social media platforms since these platforms may contain misinformation aimed at confusing thought and falsifying perception.

The SU president invited his old and new students to participate in the student activities system because of the opportunities offered by these activities to all to discover the talents and abilities of all students, as the university is an institution aimed at teaching its employees various academic and life experiences.
