In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the SU President participates in the ceremony of the distribution of certificates of the Arab classification of universities 2023
Yesterday, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, celebrated the ceremony held to distribute the certificates of the Arab classification of universities in 2023. This ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, Prof. Dr. Amr Salama, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Universities, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Rifat, the Secretary of the Higher Council of Universities, Prof. Dr. Maher Mosbah, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Private Universities, and several Egyptian University Presidents, on the sidelines of the International Exhibition of Higher Education and Training (EDUGATE).
In his statement (quoting the page of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research), the Minister noted that this classification is not only a measure of status or appreciation but also a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and transparency in higher education, as well as a testament to our keenness to provide our students with the best possible learning experiences and to support them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. He also stressed that the Arab classification of universities is a tool to enable universities to measure their performance, identify areas of improvement, and chart a path towards greater success and impact.
Furthermore, Ashour noted the importance of this classification in the transformation of universities into the third and fourth generations of universities, with the introduction of open science indicators through the strengthening of international relations, cooperation with end-users, and encouragement to transform their research outputs into products benefiting society; All the above will help attract distinguished professors, outstanding students, and entrants to Arab universities.
For his part, the SU President expressed his pleasure at entering the University into this classification, which is the result of work throughout the previous period from all the University's staff. He stressed that he works continuously for the promotion of Suez University in this and other international classifications for Suez University to assume a distinct position, especially among various universities with its potential, specializations, and human resources based on uniqueness and away from stereotypes in academic disciplines.
Moreover, Hnijal stressed that the interest in progress in the classification of the university complies with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, a vision whose domination emphasizes the laudable endeavors of all members of the academic community to build the new republic under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, who has an unprecedented interest in higher education and its institutions, given the positive return these institutions provide to Egypt's various development plans.
