University Center for Professional Development at Suez University visits the headquarters of the economic zone of the Suez Canal in the administrative capital

Under the auspices and guidance of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, a delegation from the University Center for Professional Development of Suez University visited the economic zone of the Suez Canal in the administrative capital. They were met by General Staff War/ Walid Yusuf, the Vice-President of the Suez Canal Economic Zone for the Southern Region, where the delegation of the Centre for Professional Development included M. Wafaa Bakhit, the Deputy Director of the University Vocational Development Centers Project, and M. Marina Brsoum, the Director of the project of the University Center for Professional Development of the University of Suez, and from the University Center for Professional Development of Suez University Dr. Joseph Samir, the Recruitment and Partnerships Specialist at the Center, and Mohamed Mohamed Ibrahim is a student of Faculty of Engineering and Volunteer of the Center.

Therefore, the "SU President" stated that the visit was part of the efforts of the University Centre for Professional Development of the University of Suez to develop the capacities and skills of the students of the University of Suez to bridge the gap between academic study and the needs of the labor market; By providing outstanding training opportunities and induction sessions for university students that will transform the academic reality of the study into a practical and training reality that will help them to pursue everything new, to reach the highest performance and quality rates.

Hnijal also noted that since the opening of the Centre at Suez University in February 2023, it has been able to provide professional and employment services to approximately 4,000 University of Suez staff, ranging from workshops, recruitment skills courses, technical courses, English language, and professional counseling sessions.

Hence, His Excellency noted the efforts of the members of the Center in communicating with companies and the business sector, where the Center has many cooperation protocols, through which it has been able to provide about 2,000 opportunities ranging from training or hiring or attending sessions of its acquaintances.

The attendees discussed ways of cooperating between the Suez Canal Economic Authority and Suez University through the University Center for Professional Development through promising companies located in the region.
