An awareness-raising medical convoy in “Geneva” El-Janaein district at Suez governorate

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, with the participation of the Foundation "Hayat Karima" in Suez, the university organized an awareness-raising medical convoy of the community development society in “Geneva” El-Janaein district.  

Furthermore, the SU President explained that this work is part of the role of the University of Services to the surrounding society, by providing all the potential of the University to serve the environment. Hnijal noted that the SU Faculty of Medicine has participated in the specializations " Internal Medicine - Orthopedic - Skin for Women and Obstetrics - Surgery - Heart - Urinary Tract." In addition to an awareness seminar for the Fund to Combat and Treat Addiction, the General Authority for Adult Education, and the Foundation for a Decent Life.

Moreover, Hnijal stated that the convoy had been able to achieve several achievements, including:

  • The medical test and free treatment of beneficiary cases have examined 1079 beneficiaries.
  • The medical examination has examined 235 cases from the internal clinic.
  • The medical examination has examined 200 cases from the orthopedic clinic.
  • The medical examination has examined 130 cases from the dermatology clinic.
  • The medical examination has examined 133 cases from the Women's and obstetric clinic.
  • The medical examination has examined 82 cases from the surgery clinic.
  • The medical examination has examined 170 cases from the heart clinic.
  • The medical examination has examined 129 cases from a urology clinic.

The convoy also included: -

The participation of the students of the Faculty of Technology and Education in 29 students with the General Authority for Adult Education has resulted in the following: -

- Measuring a level of 120 citizens.

- Examination of several (27) citizens.

- 5 literacy certificates have been extracted and handed over to citizens.

An educational seminar was also conducted by the Fund for the Prevention and Treatment of Addiction, entitled "The Seriousness of Addiction and the Dangers of Drugs to the Individual and Society".
