This morning, at his office, General Staff of War Abdelmadjid Saqr, Suez Governor, received Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor. The governor welcomed the SU President and addressed the plan to establish the Suez Technological University, which comes within the framework of the importance of focusing on technological education as one of the most important projects of the Egyptian State under the leadership of Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, who is keen to settle this pattern of education in Egypt because of its great benefit in meeting the needs of the labor market.

The visit also operates the plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Strategic Initiative for Higher Education launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aiman Ashour in March 2023.

Saqr stressed the importance of establishing a technological university in the Suez Governorate and directed to the importance of keeping up with the university's specializations with the disciplines required in the current labor market. It comes through interaction and communication with the petroleum sector, ports, the economic authority of the axis of the Suez Canal, companies, and factories to choose the technological disciplines required for these sectors, which includes scarcity of uniqueness, which contributes to the implementation of Egypt's sustainable development plan.

For his part, Hnijal stressed the concern for community study before the establishment of the technological university through a careful feasibility study based on the social needs of various disciplines in the Suez governorate and the axis of the Suez Canal. The SU President also estimates the effective role of the head of the new Suez City Authority, Eng, Asma Makhlouf, in facilitating all steps to visit the University's delegation to the New Suez City.
