SU President congratulates the Dean of the Faculty of Fish Resources for obtaining the African Centre of Excellence for accrediting the African

In his office, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, met this morning with Prof. Dr. Osama Qadour, the Dean of the SU Faculty of Fish Resources. The SU President handed Qadour the accreditation of the African Union Centre of Excellence at Suez University as an accredited training center for the African Union. Hnijal congratulated the dean of the faculty on this great international achievement. Hnijal commended the efforts of the Faculty of Fish Resources to reach this outstanding level.

Moreover, the SU President stated that the concern to open channels of communication and cooperation with brothers on the African continent stems from the directives of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, regarding the importance of building bridges of cooperation with brothers in various countries to emphasize Egypt's leadership regionally and internationally.

Furthermore, Hnijal noted that this achievement is an execution of the ongoing assurance of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasized the importance of increasing cooperation and providing support to brothers from African countries, exchanging experiences and interest in developing centers and laboratories, and obtaining certified certificates. Such achievement benefits the educational and research system, in the implementation of the objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and within the vision of the Ministry and University to upgrade the educational and research system. Hnijal also added that the Center's accreditation is due to the great confidence in the experience of the SU Faculty of Fish Resources.

The "SU President" explained that the Centre of Excellence of the African Union for Aquaculture and Fisheries in the SU Faculty of Fish Resources is one of eight centers of excellence at the level of the African continent of the African Union Commission for Animal and Poultry Production. It was won by Suez University after a strong competition with North African countries to host this headquarters.

The AU-IBAR Centre of Excellence for Fish Farming and Fisheries is under the AU-IBAR Commission, which is mandated to develop the ingredients of fish production in African countries and to find solutions to the problems facing producers in this sector. The Commission is also concerned with the blue economy on the continent and the preservation of the continent's water resources. The blue economy includes not only fish resources but also petroleum, mining, gas, energy generation, tourism investment, maritime transport, and logistics.
