Dr. Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of increasing cooperation and providing support to brothers from African countries, exchanging experiences and interest in developing centers and laboratories, and obtaining certified certificates, to benefit the educational and research system.

In this context, the Centre of Excellence of the African Union of the Suez University was accredited as an accredited training center of the African Union, which was received by Dr. Osama Kaddour, the Dean of the Faculty of Fish Resources, in the presence of Dr. Hyam Saleh, the Chairperson of the African Union Livestock Production Commission AU-IBAR.

Also, Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, said that the renovation of the Centre of Excellence of the African Union at Suez University o will allow him to be a donor of degrees (master's, doctoral, and professional master's degrees) to African students and to be selected as a certified training center for the African continent.

The SU President noted that this achievement is in the implementation of the objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and within the vision of the Ministry and the University to upgrade the educational and research system of the University of Suez. Moreover, he noted that the accreditation of the Centre is due to the great confidence in the experience of the SU Faculty of Fish Resources. They include distinguished scientific cadres in aquaculture, fisheries, feed manufacturing, health, disease, and aquatic genetic sciences.

The achievement of the African Union's Centre of Excellence for Fish Farming and Fisheries at Suez University was the result of efforts made during the African Union Workshop for Fish Farming and Fisheries held in Cairo to study the strategy of the blue economy of African countries, the meeting of the African Union Commission for Animal Production in Kenya and the second meeting of the African Congress on Fish Farming and Fisheries.
