SU President witnesses the inauguration of medical caravan awareness of Al-Tawfiqiyah Youth Center

This morning, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, witnessed the inauguration of the development medical convoy under the auspices of the Minister of Youth and Sports and SU President, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Said Hamid Abadi, the SU vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development, with the participation of “Hayat Karima” Initiative in Suez and Brigadier Adel Taher, Director of “Hayat Karima” Initiative in Suez.

Moreover, the SU President stated that this event comes within the framework of the unprecedented interest of the Egyptian State in the health sector and the ongoing guidance of Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi that the various services of Egyptian citizens should be provided to them with ideas out of the box through presidential initiatives and other means of communication with the public.

Furthermore. Hnijal stressed that the event complied with directions of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on the importance of implementing the themes of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, which includes "active participation", based on the participation of university health institutions in the service of citizens and society, as well as the participation of universities in dialogue with other members of society and international communities to create a new and improved educational environment.

Thus, the SU President of the University explained that this convoy is part of the University's plan to serve the surrounding community by relying on the University cadres in various disciplines since the University is the most important social institutions that affect and is influenced by the social atmosphere surrounding it. Therefore, the university is made by society on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is its tool in the development and service of individuals in society, Whether in the form of mandatory or complementary educational programs in the form of training or retraining programs.

Worth mentioning that the convoy includes the following medical specializations:

- Internal diseases

- Chest diseases

- Pediatrics

- General surgery

- Otolaryngology

- Awareness-raising initiatives on the danger of addiction and drugs on the individual and society.
