The Minister of Higher Education honors university students who won the "Together" competition on the sidelines of the Cairo International Book Fair in its next edition.

The Minister of Higher Education: The second edition of the competition was very successful with the victory of 93 videos prepared by students from 14 government universities.

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research approved the results of the second edition of the "Together" competition launched by the Ministry to produce short videos; It aims to support the core values of Egyptian society. It was launched last December.

The Minister also stressed that this competition comes within the framework of the Ministry's great interest in building youth's sound personality, deepening their spirit of loyalty and belonging, fortifying them against non-equal ideas, and creating a creative generation capable of building.

Moreover, the Minister noted that the competition was a great success in its second edition because of winning 93 videos for students from 14 government universities (Ain Shams, Assiut, Arish, Menoufia, Port Said, Minya, New Valley, Benha, South Valley, Helwan, Tanta, Sadat City, Beni Suef, Fayoum). He explained that submitted works were evaluated by specialized technical committees from universities in the light of the following themes (spreading the culture of tolerance and coexistence, social peace within society, strengthening the values of citizenship, and enshrining the principles of centrism and moderation), affirming that the winning videos varied in their themes according to the competition's interlocutors.

Furthermore, Dr. Ayman Ashour expressed his pleasure with the level of the works that reflect youth's awareness, understanding of unequal ideas, and their ability to address them in creative and effective ways, paying tribute to the winning students, noting the importance of their role in spreading the inherent values in Egyptian society.

For his part, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, noted that the Council secretariat participated in the follow-up of the implementation of all competition levels, starting from the discussion of its rules regulated during the meeting of the Supreme Council for Education and Students Affairs to ensure that the competition proceeds optimally, till addressing all universities to participate in the competition and familiarize them with its rules and procedures. He explained that a committee has been formed for each university, chaired by the University Vice-President for Education and Students Affairs. The committee has announced the competition in all faculties, determined the appropriate prizes for the top 10 positions and the duration of the competition, formed an arbitration committee, and announced the winners' names.

Meanwhile, Dr. Adel Abdul Ghaffar, Media Adviser and Spokesperson of the Ministry said that "Together" competition comes within the framework of the Ministry's strategy to raise the awareness of students and build their moderate personality against non-sound ideas. He noted that to encourage the winning students in the competition, the top three winners of each university will be honored on the sidelines of the events of the Cairo International Book Fair in its next edition under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Hence, the official spokesman added that the event will be held in cooperation between the Ministries of Higher Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, Azhar al-Sharif, and all other participants in the competition in order to cooperate to achieve the common goals to face the unsound ideas and promote the inherent values of Egyptian society.
