The SU President welcomes the Director of the Administration of Accreditation and Health Supervision of Health Insurance in Suez

This morning, at his office, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, welcomed Dr. Islam Al-Feqi, Director of the Administration of Accreditation and Health Supervision of Health Insurance in Suez, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Saied Hamid Abadi, SU Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development.

The SU President stated that from the tangible development and the provision of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control in ensuring the quality of healthcare services in Egypt, and the continuous improvement of these services through the issuance and development of internationally approved national quality standards, as well as supporting their application and accreditation of health facilities according to those standards, beside the continuous oversight to achieve excellence and sustainability. From this point of view, the idea of the cooperation Protocol appeared between the University and the Authority to be signed at the earliest to achieve the maximum benefit for the two parties.

Moreover, Hnijal explained that this meeting is aimed at discussing the aspects of cooperation between the University and the Authority in various fields. The Director of the Accreditation and Quality Authority Branch expressed his willingness to cooperate fully with the University in assisting in the accreditation of outpatient clinics and dialysis units at the new University Hospital once it became operational, given the importance of the accreditation process to enter the comprehensive health insurance system in Suez governorate.

Furthermore, he added that the University Hospital is an addition to the health insurance system for its expertise and cadres of faculty staff members of the Faculty of Medicine. He also noted that cooperation in the field of postgraduate studies was discussed between the two parties. It was agreed to establish new postgraduate programs in the Faculty of Medicine, such as the Diploma in the Quality of Health Establishments, which is of critical importance with the entry into the comprehensive health insurance system in Suez.
