Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, announced the entry into the League of Arab Universities, ranked 37th out of more than 200 Arab universities.

The President explained that the Arab rank of universities is based on four main indicators, including education and learning, scientific research, creativity, leadership and innovation, international and local cooperation, and community service. Each indicator is measured using nine criteria at very carefully selected weights.

Moreover, Hnijal stressed that this achievement is following the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic that Egyptian universities should be upgraded to a path of excellence regionally and internationally. He also noted the continuing support received by the University and various institutions of higher education and scientific research from His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

On this occasion, Hnijal congratulated all the university's associated staff on this outstanding status, stressing that this achievement would not have occurred without the sincerity and dedication of the academic work of all the members of the University. He also thanked the masters of the University classification file and wished everyone continuous progress.

This rank aims to be an essential stimulus for academics. Besides the quality of education and scientific research, the classification noted the importance of universities becoming third and fourth generations of universities with the introduction of open science indicators through the strengthening of international relations and cooperation with end beneficiaries and encouraging them to transform their research outputs into products that benefit society.

All the above helps attract distinguished professors to teach at universities and students who excel and arrive to attend universities to study.
