Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, announced that the SU Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers has won first place internationally in the AIChE Students Chapter as one of the best student semesters in the world that are offered annually to student classes that show an exceptional level of university and community participation, enthusiasm, and professional competence.

SU President added that there are many distinguished models of the university students that can create and innovate in all fields, to complement the development process and meet contemporary challenges.

For his part, Dr. Issam Ahmed, the Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that the University Administration is constantly keen to provide support to the distinguished students in all activities to motivate them to continue to present their thoughts and passions through various activities.

He also added that the aim of the various chapters in the faculty is to promote academic learning techniques and personal development systems, trying to create links between the university and industry in the different faculty departments.
