The champion Hazem Muhammad al-Sabbagh, a disabled student at the SU Faculty of Arts won the bronze medal at the World Karate Championships in the Hungarian capital of Budapest for the disabled. Hence, it is the first medal for the Egyptian disabled team participating in the championship.

Therefore, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President sent a telegram congratulating the student and expressing his pleasure at this great achievement, which delighted all the university's staff, wishing him continued success and progress.

It is worth mentioning that the student Hazem al-Sabbagh studies at the Department of History and Civilization at the SU Faculty of Arts. He has previously participated in several tournaments and has been able to achieve several victories.
