SU President visits the Faculty of Fish Resources and meets with the Faculty Council

This morning, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, visited the Faculty of Fish Resources. He was met by Prof. Dr. Osamaa Qadour, the Dean of the faculty and Teaching Staff of the faculty. As well, the visit began with a meeting with Prof. Dr. Salah Moslahi, the Head of the Lakes and Fish Resources Authority chaired by the Council of Ministers, Prof. Dr. Abdelghani El-Gandi, the Vice-President of Suliman University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nasrallah, the director of the International Fish Centre. This meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dean of the faculty, he discussed ways of strengthening the means of cooperation between the faculty and various bodies outside the University in the field of fish production and processing.

Subsequently, the Faculty Council held its first new academic meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. SU President, who congratulated the attendance wishing success to all. The Council Members congratulated the SU President on the occasion of the trust of His Excellency the President of the Republic and the republican decision to appoint him as President of the University.

The SU President inaugurated the Central Laboratory "3" " microbiological ", equipped with the project to accredit laboratories from the Ministry of Higher Education "Ajak", and the training hall of the laboratory. Moreover, the President commended the level of equipment at which the laboratory was built.

After that, Hnijal held an extensive meeting with old and new students of the faculty. It was attended by Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty, Undersecretaries, and Teaching Staff at the Faculty Conference Hall. Furthermore, the SU President welcomed students stressing the importance of diligence in the achievement of science, stressing the uniqueness of the faculty’s specialization, which represents a great opportunity for graduates in the labor market, as the faculty offers academic programs with atypical paths that qualify the graduate to compete in the labor market.

In addition, “SU President” noted the need for everyone to take care of the propagandists of rumors who seek to demolish every structure, corrupt thought, and distort perception, and not rely on the fascination of some social media platforms to reduce the State's efforts.

At the end of the visit, the SU President inaugurated the faculty’s afforestation project, aiming to plant about 140 trees in the vicinity of the faculty. He planted the first tree in the project, expressing his pleasure at this outstanding initiative.
