Dr. Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of the unprecedented support provided by the political leadership and state organs for the development of the education system in Egypt, which has had a positive impact on the achievement of unprecedented achievement in the North and South Sinai education system over a short period of time. He also noted that the Egyptian State has set its sights on the development of the Sinai Peninsula and the making of a massive development boom in this geographical region vital to Egypt's national security. Moreover, he stressed that the Ministry has succeeded with the support of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the President of the Republic, in providing 4G universities offering modern study programs that meet the requirements and needs of the contemporary and future labor market, in addition to providing them with all modern technological media to provide a unique and distinctive educational experience, benefiting society and the national economy.

Furthermore, Dr. Adel Abdul Ghaffar, the Media Adviser and Spokesperson of the Ministry said that the Ministry has implemented more than 37 projects in the field of higher education in Sinai over the past nine years, at a total cost of 23 billion pounds. Hence, he stated that Sinai's development efforts confirm its position at the forefront of the comprehensive and sustainable development map in accordance with Egypt's Vision (2030). He said that Suez University in the South Sinai branch is one of the most important benefits of national and development projects, which endeavor to provide the community with specialized cadres and qualified expertise capable of creativity and leadership and conducting outstanding applied research for sustainable community development.

Moreover, Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Hnijal, the SU President, had overseen the Egyptian State's interest in developing the university education system in Sinai. He noted the establishment of the branch of Suez University in South Sinai, which is a nucleus for the establishment of South Sinai University, in view of the political leadership's desire to establish public universities in various governorates in Egypt; In order to achieve comprehensive development in various regions and provide university education in South Sinai governorate. He pointed out that the estimated cost of the first phase of the university was 1.3 billion pounds, noting that the university branch is set up on 100 acres for the two stages, and the first phase includes faculties (Education, Arts, Science, Commerce).

Dr. Ashraf explained that the second phase of the university branch in South Sinai is going to include faculties (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Technology, Fish Resources, Languages and Translation, Desert Agriculture and Food Productions, Art and Design, and veterinary Medicine, Computers and Artificial Intelligence) In addition to other buildings such as (University administrative building, Central library, Conference hall, students dormitory, staff housing buildings, Olympic sports complex, cafeteria and restaurant), as well as the establishment of a university hospital to serve Sinai Peninsula.
