Wed. 04 Oct, 2023

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Saied Hamid Abadi, SU Vice-President for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs and the supervisor of the SU Faculty of Medicine, the SU Faculty of Medicine organized an orientation day for new and old students this morning.

Meanwhile, the SU President was received by Prof. Dr. SU Vice-President, the Faculty undersecretaries, and several faculty staff members, faculty employees, and students. A discussion took place on the faculty's preparations and the readiness of various laboratories and halls to receive students for optimal scientific qualification.

Hnijal then met with faculty staff members and students, where Abadi welcomed the SU President and wished him success, appreciating the continued support the faculty enjoys especially regarding the equipment of the University Hospital.

For his part, the SU President welcomed the students wishing everyone success, and congratulated the new students who were able to join the faculty explaining that they should not consider joining the Faculty of Medicine as the final goal. It is the beginning of a new work, diligence, perseverance, and best efforts to develop oneself and abilities to keep pace with the tremendous advances in technology, especially those associated with the specialization, so that the individual is not confined to the stereotype of the graduate; It will be difficult to achieve the desired success amidst future advances and technological changes.

Moreover, Hnijal pointed out that in the coming weeks, Egypt is preparing to organize the presidential elections. Thus, the SU President stressed the need for everyone to participate actively and positively in these elections in a manner that befits the status of Egyptian intellectually conscious youth who participated positively in this event to honor Egypt before the world. The SU President also stressed to everyone that rumormongers and seditious advocates should not be contextualized, stating that man has to think well before sentencing on various subjects.

SU President then invited students to look at the SU Faculty of Medicine as an example of the Egyptian state's efforts to provide a faculty for the study of medicine at this high level of equipment, whether in terms of the physical potential of buildings, halls, terraces, and laboratories equipped with the latest tools and devices, or in terms of the human potential of providing a group of faculty staff and associated staff at the highest level of competence.

This was followed by artistic shows performed by the faculty students and then a tribute to the first students at the level of the various faculty years.
