This 70-day feeding trial evaluated dietary Spirulina platensis (SP) as a functional additive for red tilapia challenged with Aspergillus flavus. A total of 180 fish were fed a basal diet (SP0) or diets supplemented with 3, 6, or 9 g SP/kg diet. SP supplementation significantly improved final weight, weight gain, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and survival (p < 0.05), with the strongest responses generally observed in SP9. SP-fed fish also showed higher lysozyme activity, phagocytic activity, IgM, SOD, CAT, and GPx, together with lower MDA levels. Whole-body protein and ash increased, whereas lipid and moisture contents decreased. After A. flavus challenge, survival and intestinal histology improved, particularly at 6 and 9 g/kg. These results indicate that S. platensis can enhance growth, antioxidant and immune responses, intestinal health, and resistance to A. flavus in red tilapia.
