Fourth-year students
1- Suhaila Eid
2- Karim Al-Jarhi
from the Navigation and Marine Fisheries program, to present their Graduation Project 2 in public defence.
This project aims to develop a smart safety net that automatically intervenes before a person falls into the water, thereby reducing Man Overboard (MOB) incidents and protecting lives in the marine environment.
The system utilises modern technologies to detect the risk of falling overboard early and to immediately activate the safety net, thereby helping prevent the incident before it occurs and minimizing the associated risks.
The project has resulted in an innovative solution that enhances maritime safety standards, contributes to reducing the incidence of falls overboard, and increases safety levels on board ships.
Best of luck to our dear students.
