As part of Suez University’s ongoing efforts to support and develop its various faculties, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University, paid a visit to the Faculty of Fish Resources, where he was received by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamza, Dean of the Faculty, along with the vice deans, faculty members, and Dr. Mohamed Ismail, Director of the University’s Quality Assurance Center.

During the visit, the University President expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted within the faculty and stressed the importance of expediting the preparation of the quality assurance file for the faculty’s programs. He emphasized that obtaining academic accreditation is a pivotal step toward enhancing both educational and research standards, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to institutional excellence.

Prof. Dr. Heniegal noted that the university will spare no effort in providing the necessary technical and logistical support to the faculty in fulfilling the quality requirements, affirming that academic accreditation is not an end in itself but rather a means to ensure continuous improvement and achieve leadership.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty welcomed the visit, confirming that the faculty is moving steadily toward developing its academic and research programs and is working in full coordination with the Quality Assurance Center to achieve the desired objectives.

At the end of the visit, it was agreed to establish a clear timeline for completing the quality file and to form specialized working teams within the faculty in collaboration with the center, ensuring the highest standards of academic and administrative performance.

It is noteworthy that the faculties of Suez University are progressing steadily toward obtaining quality and institutional accreditation certificates for their academic programs — for the first time in the university’s history — reflecting a firm commitment to excellence and advancement in the educational system. The Faculty of Technology and Education has already succeeded in accrediting three academic programs, while two programs at the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering were recently accredited, marking continuous progress toward achieving institutional leadership.
