The thesis highlighted the importance of the topic and the feasibility of its study, as it aims to examine the effect of adding commercial probiotics to Nile Tilapia culture ponds.

The thesis highlighted the importance of the topic and the feasibility of studying it, as it aims to study the effect of adding commercial probiotics to semi-intensive Nile tilapia culture ponds under Egyptian conditions, and to study the effect of this addition on water quality factors, growth rates, feed conversion efficiency, body shape and composition, survival rates, and production rates per acre, thereby providing a modern and practical solution to the problems facing fish farming in Egypt. The experiment was conducted in the field in more than one governorate to cover all the different environmental conditions in Egypt.

The supervisory committee included the following members:

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Saeed: Professor of Aquaculture – Department of Aquaculture Technology – Faculty of Fish Resources– Suez University.

Assoc. Prof. Iman Mohamed Mostafa: Assistant Professor of Marine Chemistry – Department of Marine Chemistry – National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries – Suez.
