Tue. 17 Dec, 2024

☆ Suez | 17 December 2024

Under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama Qaddour, Dean of the Faculty of Fish Resources, and in implementation of the university's student activities plan,

A symposium was held today entitled "Religious Freedoms."

It was held today as part of efforts to confront unhealthy ideas and concepts that deviate from religious beliefs and cultural heritage.

The seminar was organized and attended by the Students for Egypt family.

Dr. Jamal Al-Husseini Abu Farha, Associate Professor of Philosophy of Religions and Head of the Philosophy Department at the Faculty of Arts, delivered the lecture.

The seminar addressed several topics, the most important of which was emphasizing that all people's beliefs are their own choice, for which only Allah will hold them accountable, and that how we treat each person is our own choice, which should determine our attitude towards them. Coercion in religion is a legal error that contradicts the words of Allah Almighty, "There is no compulsion in religion." It is also harmful to society and intellectually futile, because true belief and true worship come from the heart.
