  • Soil pollutants and biodegradation of pollutants in water and soil.
  • Residues of some pollutants like pesticides and heavy metals in water, soil, plants, and some animals (fish, earthworms, and aquatic worms).
  • Biomarkers" (molecular and biochemical responses to toxicants) such as the Metallothioneines, "B" esterases, porphyrins and terrestrial organisms, for the evaluation of the environmental impact of toxic compounds on the biological component of ecosystems.
  • Research on bioaccumulation and biological effects of pesticides in the organisms.
  • Study on biochemical adaptation to polluted environments by pollution-tolerant species, and toxicological effects of xenobiotics on terrestrial organisms and aquatic.
