A Solar Energy Consultancy and Testing Center (SETC) is a specialized laboratory providing expertise and services related to solar energy and photovoltaic modules. It is the result of a partnership between the University of Suez, represented by the Faculty of Education Technology and the Project Management Unit, with funding of 2,053,500 EGP to develop the center's infrastructure. SETC offers consultancy services to individuals, businesses, and governments interested in implementing solar energy systems. SETC can help with the planning, design, and installation of solar power systems and provide guidance on regulations and incentives related to renewable energy. Additionally, SETC provides testing services to ensure solar panels and other components meet industry standards and perform optimally according to ISO 17025. ISO 17025 is an internationally recognized standard for testing and calibration laboratories, which specifies the general requirements for competence, impartiality, and consistent operation of testing and calibration facilities. By seeking accreditation according to ISO 17025, SETC can assure their clients that their testing processes are reliable and meet industry standards.
Mission
A laboratory offers certified services internationally and meets the local and regional needs in the solar cell tests with the latest certified devices according to an integrated system.
Vision
An internationally accredited laboratory that meets the Arab region's need for constructive measurements and consultations in the field of solar energy.
