The Faculty of Technology and Education was established in 1995 by Presidential Decree No. 419. The faculty submitted a development project to the Supreme Council of Universities after it was presented through the Technological Education Committee to add Bachelor’s programs in technology alongside the Bachelor’s in Industrial Education, given its human and laboratory capabilities that enable it to do so, in line with the state's plan to expand technological education. On November 24, 2019, the Supreme Council of Universities issued a decision, followed by Prime Ministerial Decree No. 646 in 2020 on March 14, 2020, changing the name of Industrial Education faculties to Technology and Education faculties.
