Project Purpose

• The graduation project of a Metal Wear Testing Machine is a project aimed at designing and manufacturing a dual-design machine to perform wear testing of metals using two different methods (Pin-on-plate and Pin-on-disk). The project implementation requires research for necessary materials and appropriate technology to operate and form these materials, and then manufacture the machine. The work includes computer-aided design of mechanical parts, followed by assembly and testing to ensure their effective performance.
• The project aims to use locally made materials and products with Egyptian hands, and compare the total cost of the project with similar imported products that serve the same purpose.
• Despite the technical and design challenges that may be faced in implementing this project, it represents an opportunity for students to apply the concepts, knowledge, and skills they have acquired during their studies in the field of production technology.
