Plastic is a common material used in everyday products, however, its irresponsible disposal poses a major threat to the environment. Many plastic products are produced and are disposed of after a relatively short period of use, leading to the accumulation of huge amounts of plastic waste. This plastic waste can negatively impact the environment, such as polluting oceans and lands and affecting wildlife and marine life. Action is needed to address this problem, including promoting recycling, reducing excessive plastic use, and searching for environmentally friendly alternatives.

Therefore, it was necessary to address this problem by converting or polymerizing this waste into large aggregates that can be used as an alternative to lightweight aggregates from the production of environmentally friendly lightweight concrete. To implement this effective solution, lightweight concrete was designed and produced that contains aggregates resulting from recycling plastic waste and placed in proportions as an alternative to natural aggregates with the components of regular concrete.

To ensure the production of this type of lightweight concrete, fresh and hardened tests were conducted on lightweight concrete and those results were compared to the acceptance limits of lightweight concrete
