Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ashraf Hneigl, President of the University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa Atiya, Dean of the Faculty, and upon the guidance of Dr. Omar Mohamed Omar, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Technology and Education organized a field visit for the students of the Civil Construction Technology program to the sites of Al-Ahram Construction Company in New Cairo.
This visit is part of the Faculty's strategy to enhance the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application, refine students' practical skills, and prepare them for the job market with high competence.
The visit was supervised by a distinguished academic team, including Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Ajwa, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam Abdel Salam, Head of the Civil and Architectural Construction Department, and Dr. Noor Basem Farhat Mustafa, Program Coordinator for Civil Construction Technology.
The student delegation was received by an administrative team from Al-Ahram Construction Company, led by Engineer Adel Fahim Hamida, Chairman of the Board, Engineer Ahmed Amin Ali Al-Sayyad, Site Manager for the Finishing Works of the Cherry Mall 1 project, Engineer Ahmed Ali El-Roubi, Site Manager for the Construction of the Cherry Mall 2 project, and Mr. Said Saad Ajwa, General Supervisor of the Execution.
The field visit included two main sites:
The first site: Cherry Mall 1, where students observed the internal finishing works, learned about the steps for accepting and implementing fire-fighting systems, cladding, wooden flooring, and gypsum board systems.
The second site: Cherry Mall 2, where students saw the stages of receiving and implementing reinforced concrete works for ceilings and foundations, including carpentry and reinforced steel works according to standard specifications.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Ahram Construction Company is one of the leading construction companies in Egypt, and one of its notable achievements is the construction of the Medical Complex for Suez University.
The students expressed their great happiness with this visit, emphasizing its importance in enhancing their practical understanding of the theoretical concepts they have studied, which contributes to better preparing them for the job market.
This initiative reflects the university's continuous commitment to integrating theoretical education with practical experience, providing opportunities for field training that enrich the academic and professional experience of the students.
