Visit of a delegation from the National Accreditation Council (EGAC) to accredit the Solar Energy Systems Consultation and Testing Center at the Faculty of Technology and Education - Suez UniversityFaculty of Technology and Education - Suez University - Thursday, July 3, 2024Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ashraf Hanigal, President of Suez University, Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education, received the core assessment team from the National Accreditation Council (EGAC) for the accreditation of the Solar Energy Systems Consultation and Testing Center in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standard. The accreditation covers three technical tests on solar panels as per the IEC61215 technical specification.The visiting team consisted of:Eng. Mohamed Osman Hassan, Assessment Team Leader and former Head of the Central Administration for Accreditation at the National Accreditation Council
Dr. Tarek Helmy, Technical Assessor, former Head of Calibration Branches in the Air Force, and Quality Instructor at the Maritime AcademyThe visiting team was received by Dr. Bassam Awny Hamid, Executive Director of the Center, and Dr. Nader Mohamed Abdel Mohsen, Technical Director of the Center, in the presence of all laboratory personnel. The assessment committee commended the exceptional level of the work team in adhering to the standard specifications and the integrity of the quality system.It is noteworthy that the Solar Energy Systems Consultation and Testing Center is a specialized facility for testing solar panels, established with funding from the Project Development Unit of the Ministry of Higher Education.
