Textile Program

Program Mission: The Textile Program is committed to preparing a qualified graduate in accordance with the Academic Reference Standards (ARS) in the field of textiles to meet the needs of the local and regional labor markets, and who is capable of conducting scientific research, serving the community, and achieving sustainable development goals within a framework of values and ethics.

Strategic Objectives of the Textile Program:

• Achieving the state's plan in a way that serves national interests in the advancement of technical and technological education and the upgrading of graduates.

• Equipping students with the fundamental knowledge of scientific and practical theories needed by graduates to be able to work directly in the textile industries.

• Developing students' practical abilities through their studies in the faculty's workshops and laboratories, and training on various devices and machines.

• Developing students' capabilities and enabling them to use their scientific and practical theories to advance their expertise through brainstorming, with full commitment to professional ethics.

• Directing support toward applied scientific research stemming from the state's plan, national trends, and sustainable development goals, with a focus on creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

• Focusing on providing the surrounding region with necessary technical consultations, or conducting training courses or scientific seminars that may be needed by those working in these industries.

• Continuously improving student services, raising the competitiveness of students in the labor market, and activating communication mechanisms with alumni to identify their needs or what enhances their skills.

• Promoting social responsibility and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals through scientific research, and making optimal investment in internal or external cooperation to achieve the national trends of the state.

• Qualifying graduates pedagogically by equipping them with modern teaching methods, curriculum development techniques, and assessment strategies, qualifying them to work as specialized teachers in the technical and technological fields.

• Enhancing students' skills in technical communication (in both Arabic and English), and using computer technologies, multimedia, and artificial intelligence tools as supportive means for learning, scientific research, and professional work.
