Portal Unit

It's a unit that relies on the use of best available technology and software to increase collaboration and communication among different faculties of the University and other universities to achieve the vision and the mission of the University.

Moreover, it is the interface that allows access to many information, applications, and other means of communication through a single interface, some of which are already exist, such as:

Activities presented by the e-learning administration system, the digital library unit, and the university management information systems aiming at integration and facilitating dealing with such applications as well as creating personal websites for the staff, providing the information and news in full transparency to users according to their use and preference, and providing services for staff, postgraduate studies students, and students of various faculties at the university.

Furthermore, it is a mean of communication between the University databases and its faculties and the beneficiaries from the educational or administrative bodies or students aiming at providing electronic, administrative, or educational services.

Finally, it is one of the important pillars of Egypt’s future because of the University’s responsibility for preparing future generations who contributing effectively to Egypt’s advancement and development.

The vision and the mission of the unit

“The portal seeks to upgrade the educational, research, and administrative capacity of the University's education and scientific research system through websites based on information flow among its members and the provision of electronic services that exceed expectations and needs of the beneficiaries. “

  • Connecting society to the University. That is why the portal aims to connect as many beneficiaries as possible to its objectives through providing privileged e-services.
  • Enhancing quality in the educational process by providing interactive education using improved and innovative tools and techniques, which in turn will lead to improve evaluation processes.
  • Developing the paperwork through the creation of a document management and archiving system, as well as the facilitation of administrative procedures and the establishment of a follow-up mechanism. This will also contribute to the provision of accurate data for statistics and reports, particularly in the university strategic planning.
  • Increasing the level of organization and thus save the consumed resources specially time management.
  • Organizing the work and providing e-management to help managers to apply their ability on innovation and creation at work.
  • Raising the ranking of Suez University in the World Rankings.
  • Electronic availability of key information and data of Suez University and its faculties.
  • Posting the news of the University and faculties on the website content management system.
  • Integration and availability of various electronic services through the university and faculties portals.
  • Showing development services provided by the Ministry of Higher Education so that the university community became aware of these services to maximize their benefit from them.
  • Increasing communication between Suez University and Egyptian universities, through links on the university website allowing visitors to view the activities of other Egyptian universities.
  • Increasing communication between Suez University and foreign universities through creating an English website for Suez University.
  • Continuous updating of information and data available on the SU website.
  • Providing the technical support for the technological services units at the SU faculties.
  • Training the teamwork of the technological services units of the faculties on dealing with all new applications which is created or added by the portal programmers.
  • Cooperation between SU development projects to improve the services provided on the website.
  • Narrowing the university digital gap in accordance with the university strategy through linking and integrating the portal with applications of administration information systems, digital libraries, e-learning, and training on information technology.

  • Posting basic programs, study curriculums, and their basic data.
  • Posting the results of students on the website by the student’s desk number.
  • Developing the SU website.
  • Posting the results of the post-graduate studies on SU website.
  • Posting the results of capacities exams on SU website.
  • A form has been created to reset the students and staff e-mails on Microsoft website.
  • The schedules, regulations, and curriculum of most university faculties have been published on the faculties’ websites.
  • Students’ desk number were posted on the websites of the faculty.
  • Presenting e-services for staff, students, postgraduate studies students, and employees through providing information they are interested and uploading models and forms suit their various needs.
  • Posting the latest news periodically on the SU website and on the social media page.
  • Cultural relations leaflets are periodically posted on the university's website.
  • Uploading videos on the SU website YouTube channels and updating them continuously.
    An electronic catalogue has been created for SU services which includes:

  • Student’s guide to register on Al-Zahraa website for university dormitories.
