Project management unit

SU project management unit is the supervisor and the main responsible of all research and student projects at the university; it has an important role as a focal point between different project research teams and donors and it also monitors and follows-up all projects at the University.

The Project Management Unit is one of the main drivers of the University's development and advancement to make the university one of the leading scientific institutions in these fields.

The mission of the unit:
The mission of the unit is to support, follow-up and evaluate the performance of research projects while ensuring effective management and continuity in order to achieve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of education and scientific research within the framework of the University's mission and its strategic and developmental objectives.

The function of the unit:
Representation of the University and its various units as the main focal point with the Higher Education Development Projects Management Unit as well as with the various funding bodies and beneficiaries of project results.
Acting as a center of expertise and technical support concerning dealing with national and development projects and available sources of funding that serving the fields of priority in development and community service.
Encouraging presenting applied research projects as well as educational development projects.
Support, follow-up, and evaluate the performance of the university development projects.
Facilitation and opening of effective channels of communication between the University and scientific and professional bodies involved in projects for the development of higher education and scientific research at home and abroad.
Upgrading the level of scientific research at the University through the achievement of quality assurance standards either in research itself or in research activities.
Evaluation of research project proposals in terms of) study duration, research team, research tools required - cost of conducting research - research duration) before applying for funding.
