Short Bio for Dr Adel Mohamed

Adel Mohamed is a Metallurgical and Materials Engineer (1998) and holds a doctorate in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2008) from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, Canada, with the rank of professor for 4^th years and active in research areas concerning Metallurgy and Materials Science and related fields. He has gained extensive experiences in teaching, research, and managerial work that have enhanced and strengthen his academic/professional background. Adel Mohamed had many courses/lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, involvement in technical or academic organizations/committees, research/development projects, scientific conferences and workshops, proceedings, papers, and advisory activities which have helped me to gain experience in Materials Science and Engineering and related fields.

Adel Mohamed is currently working as Vice-Dean for  Education and Student Affairs, and as a professor in the Metallurgical and Materials department, Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez University, Egypt. Besides, he is the head of the ranking unit of Suez University and a Member of TICO. His current research concentrated on the investigation of various reinforced metal matrix composites for weight-critical applications in automotive, electronics, and communication industries, in addition, nanocomposite coatings for industrial applications. He has worked on more than 10 research projects with funding agencies from outside Egypt with a total volume of more than 3.5 million dollars.  He has already published more than 150 research articles in the peer-reviewed international/national journals and conferences with h-index 31, has published 13 book/book chapters.

Adel Mohamed has supervised many master’s and Ph.D. students inside and outside Egypt, and is acting as a reviewer of various journals. With more than 20^th  years of research experience in metallurgical and materials engineering.
