Team of the Society of Petroleum Engineers of the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering and Mining -Suez University- won the Outstanding International Award from Petroleum Engineers Association

SU students won the First Excellence Award presented by the World Petroleum Engineers' Association for the sixth time in its history; Thanks to its efforts in organizing a number of activities, conferences, effective seminars, and initiatives for petroleum engineering students across Egypt in general.

 

In this regard, Youssef Al-Damiri, a student of the 4th Division of the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering and President of the Association of World Petroleum Engineers of Suez University, said that this achievement is historic for Egyptian universities. The University has achieved this achievement three times over the last four years, noting that this award was received by about 5% of universities worldwide.

 

This year, students of the Suez University were able to publish a journal in the field of petroleum manufacturing whose content is about marketing, entrepreneurship, and investment, in addition to organizing the conference "SPEAk", which discussed the different areas of work available to students after graduation and how to deal with the requirements of the labor market as well as participating in the "Petroleum Arabian and Exhibition Conference" in cooperation with the American University and in the presence of Egypt's leading industry officials and representatives of major petroleum companies.

 

This year's students offered more than 20 training opportunities at major petroleum companies to students and 50 visits to a number of petroleum fields, as well as co-organizing a conference discussing the importance of women's empowerment in the petroleum and gas industry called "Energy4her", participation in a number of various recreational and charitable activities, including visits to orphanages, elderly and charitable hospitals, as well as distribution of Ramadan cartoon to the poor.
