Opening of the application for postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering - Suez University

The Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering - Suez University announces the opening of the application for postgraduate studies (Diploma - Master's - Doctorate) for the first semester of the academic year 2024/2025 AD. Starting from August 11, 2024 AD until September 15, 2024 AD. Note that the departments and academic degrees available for application are as follows:

1- Department of Petroleum Engineering: Registration is available only for teaching assistants and assistant professors appointed to the college, government and private colleges, institutes and research centers affiliated with the Supreme Council of Universities.

2- Department of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Engineering: (Diploma in Gas Engineering - and Diploma in Refining Engineering) As for registration for Master's and PhD degrees - registration is only available for teaching assistants and assistant lecturers appointed to the college, government and private colleges, institutes and research centers affiliated to the Supreme Council of Universities.

3- Department of Metallurgical Engineering "Diploma/Master's/Doctorate".

4- Department of Geological and Geophysical Engineering "Diploma/Master's/Doctorate".

5- Mining Engineering Department "Diploma/Master's/PhD"
6- Energy Engineering Program

It is necessary to submit all documents and complete the rest of the procedures by visiting the graduate studies departments in the colleges during the specified period.
The documents required for students applying for enrollment are as follows: -
1- The academic qualification for the first university degree.
2- Master's degree (for those registered for a doctorate)
3- A statement of the student's grades during the years of study
4- A statement of passing the preliminary master's / doctorate with a statement of the courses passed by the student for transferred students
5- Birth certificate or an official extract thereof
6- A copy of a valid national ID card
7- (6) personal photos 4*6
8- Approval of the employer for registration and study for members of the assistant staff and researchers at Egyptian universities and scientific research centers affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
9- Approval of the employer (if the applicant for registration is an officer in the armed forces or a police officer)
10- The status of recruitment for males
11- A declaration from the student that he is not registered to study any diploma or any university degree in the same college or another college in one of the Egyptian universities.
12- The student signs a declaration of full-time study two days a week
13- A certificate of the period of experience required to join the graduate programs that require this according to the internal regulations of the colleges.
14- Plastic portfolio.

In addition to adhering to the college regulations regarding the specializations allowed to apply for each scientific department.

● For incoming students

- Applications are made on the Edress in Egypt platform.

Condition for granting a scientific degree from the university.

• All students must obtain the following courses from the University's Capacity Development Center as a condition for granting a scientific degree.

1- Postgraduate diploma students must obtain one course.

2- Master's students must obtain two courses.

3- Doctoral students must obtain (3) courses as a condition for granting a scientific degree.

• All students must obtain the digital transformation course as a condition for granting a scientific degree.
In addition to other requirements of the college and university that the applicant looks for when going to the Graduate Studies Department at the college, such as scientific publication conditions and others
• In the case of preliminary acceptance, all originals are submitted to the Graduate Studies Department at the college to complete the registration procedures, sign all declarations, and pay the required registration fees
• Applicants for registration for a doctorate degree must pass a written exam in the relevant department
• In the event of an increase in the number of applicants, the relevant department has the right to conduct interviews or written tests or make other criteria to compare applicants
