Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was employed as basic theory to address the factors affecting vocational students’ acceptance of using VLEs. System quality and self-efficacy were added as extension to TAM in the research model. To obtain data on students’ acceptance toward using VLEs, a questionnaire was adopted from previous studies. The sample was taken from an Egyptian Secondary Industrial School, consisting of 112 students. OLAT as target system in this study did not originally support Arabic. Therefore authors translated OLAT into Arabic in 2009/10 to provide a field-experimental research basis. Results may be compared with the situation in Europe, namely Germany. There is no evidence on developmental differences. A major difference is that the use of VLE in Egypt came later than in Germany.
