About the Faculty

A brief history of the faculty and its current and extinct teaching systems.

The SU Faculty of Arts was established since the Prime Minister's Decision No. 650 of 2014. The SU Faculty of Arts and Humanities was approved to be established on 23/4/2014, thereby the Faculty of Arts and Humanities is the seventh faculty at Suez University.

Its name was then amended to the Faculty of Arts in accordance with Prime Minister's Decision No. 1408 of 2017

The faculty had seven departments (Arabic - English - French _ History and Civilization - Geography - Philosophy - Sociology)

At the beginning of the academic year 2018/2019, the departments of psychology and Chinese language were opened. Thus, the number of the faculty departments became 9 departments, and the first graduates of the SU Faculty of Arts was class of 2018.
