The effect of squeezed vacuum (SV) field on the multistable behavior characterising three-level V-type atomic medium placed in a ring cavity is examined in the dispersive case. Two-step, two-way phase switching process is predicted for fixed values of the incident coherent field. Cooperative multistability occurs in the non-resonant case and converted to bistability in the resonant case and limit of strong squeezing.
