Three species of amphibians, Sclerophrys arabica, Duttaphrynus dhufarensis, and Pelophylax ridibundus, were reported for the first time in the Ha'il region. Frogs were distributed in 62.5% of the wetland areas surveyed in the Ha'il region. Sclerophrysarabicus and D. dhufarensis were confined to water bodies in mountainous areas and in farms, while P. ridibundus was found in the permanent water current in the Wadi Al-Edeera'a bed and in nearby farms. Duttaphrynus dhufarensis and P. ridibundus showed their ability to survive in a harsh arid environment and P. ridibundus proved its ability to resist higher concentration of pollution. The Arabian toad, S. arabicahad a relatively wide distribution compared to D. dhufarensis, while P. ridibundus occupied the Wadi Al-Edeera'a and the nearby farms.
