Biography

Prof. Ahmed Samhan joined the Department of Physical Therapy for Surgery at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Suez University in Egypt in 2023. Previously, he was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia from 2010 to 2021. He has been a consultant of physical therapy for surgery at New Kasr Al Aini Teaching Hospital, equivalent to a Professor at the University, Physical Therapy Department, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt till 2023. Now, he is a consultant in police hospitals at the Ministry of Interior, Egypt.

Prof. Samhan has an extensive background in the areas of physical therapy for surgery, dermatology, and men’s health. He taught undergraduate courses such as physical therapy for surgery and burn cases, electrotherapy, biomechanics, hydrotherapy, and independent study. Also, he taught in postgraduate courses as research methodology and evidence-based practice.

Prof. Samhan holds various positions and titles in the university, including a professional advisor of the college, a coordinator of the graduation projects unit, a coordinator of the graduates’ unit, a coordinator of the internship unit, and an assistant dean for quality assurance.

Prof. Samhan’s research interests include physical therapy and rehabilitation surgery, burns, pelvic-floor dysfunction, dermatology, and Men’s Health physical therapy.
