Biography

  • Prof. Nermeen Mohamed Abdelhalim joined the Department of Physical Therapy for Surgery at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Suez University in Egypt in 2023. She is a Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Suez University in Egypt from 2024 to present .Previously, she was a Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Heliopolis University in Egypt from 2022 to 2023. She was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia from 2010-2021. She has been a consultant of physical therapy for surgery at New Kasr Al Aini Teaching Hospital, equivalent to a Professor at the University, Physical Therapy Department, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt (2023).
  • Prof. Abdelhalim has an extensive background in the areas of physical therapy for surgery, dermatology, and plastic surgeries. She taught undergraduate courses such as physical therapy for surgery and burn cases, physical therapy for dermatological conditions, electrotherapy, biomechanics, hydrotherapy, differential diagnosis and independent study. Also, he taught in postgraduate courses as research methodology and evidence-based practice.
  • Prof. Abdelhalim holds various positions and titles in the university, including a Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs, an Acting Vice-Dean for community Services and Environmental Development, a Head of “Quality Assurance” unit, and a head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation.
  • Prof. Abdelhalim’s research interests include physical therapy and rehabilitation surgery, burns, pelvic-floor dysfunction, dermatology, and plastic surgery.
