Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ashraf Hanigel, President of Suez University,
And under the supervision of Professor Dr. Narmeen Mohamed Abdel Halim, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy,
And under the supervision of the college student activities coordinator, Dr. Walaa Sawar,
On the occasion of World Cerebral Palsy Day, which falls on October 6th,
The student activities at the faculty, in cooperation with some students enrolled in the Community Physical Therapy course, organized awareness for visitors of the outpatient clinics and training at Suez General Hospital about cerebral palsy.
This was done by distributing informative brochures about the disease, its symptoms, and prevention methods, emphasizing the necessity of raising community awareness about the rights of individuals affected by it, supporting their families, and enabling them to fully participate.A number of fourth-year students participated in this activity.
These activities come in line with the faculty's vision of the importance of familiarizing students with community engagement and encouraging them to use their scientific knowledge for the benefit of their immediate community, believing in the integrity of science and the patient's right to know all information that can help them and their families live a better life.
