Within the framework of the "Bidaya" initiative to build the Egyptian person, under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hanigal, President of the University, the Faculty of Computers and Information organized on Monday 12-2-2024, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Hussein Aziz, Dean of the Faculty, a symposium entitled "Cloud Computing, a Step Towards Achieving Smart Government", in which Dr. Rasha Youssef, Dr. Fatima Saeed and Eng. Dina Ragab participated as lecturers, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students.

The symposium included several axes, the most important of which are:
Defining cloud computing, its types and characteristics
As well as distinguishing between cloud computing and cloud storage. It also addressed the requirements and strategies for building cloud computing in government sectors and the importance of using it. The symposium also addressed important examples of cloud computing services in the Egyptian government sector and some other countries that benefit the citizen and society.
