His professional experience as a consultant and energy efficiency and energy audit specialist. 
Dr.Elgohary is the head of EGEC energy and high voltage department.
Dr.Elgohary has a strong academic background in addition to his professional experience as a solar energy and energy audit consultant. 
He gains his wide experience through working with many firms in different project and different disciplines.
Academically, he is the author of 10 scientific research articles published in national and international journals and conferences 
He is well recognized in the area of solar energy, energy efficiency, energy audit, and energy modelling. This includes but not limited to preparation of projects energy modelling either for existing buildings or new project and follow up implementation of energy modelling recommendations.
Dr. Elgohary has good experience in the fundamentals and design of Solar Energy, and Electro-mechanical systems.
