Vision of the Unit:

Continuous development of the SU Faculty of Dentistry to lead it for leadership and excellence in education, scientific research, and community service by applying local and international standards of quality assurance system.

Mission of the Unit:

Work towards achieving the quality assurance system in line with the vision and mission of the faculty by evaluating and continuously improving the quality of the educational process and practical research and striving to constantly upgrade them so that we can graduate dentists capable of gaining the trust of the local and international community.

Objectives of the unit:

1. Achieving the faculty mission and its strategic objectives.

2- Dissemination of quality culture within and outside the faculty.

3- Apply the criteria of The National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation beside the follow-up and continuous assessment of the application of policies and mechanisms that support this.

4. Continuous communication with the SU Quality Assurance Center.

5- Collect data and document information and activities carried out within the faculty with documentation.

6- Support the faculty departments and administration to help them apply quality standards.

7-Earn the trust of the local and international community in the faculty results and outcomes.

Unit Vision: To make the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the Faculty of Dentistry a leading and distinguished model in providing an integrated system for occupational health, safety, and risk management, achieving a safe and sustainable educational, research, and clinical environment for the faculty in accordance with the highest local and international quality standards.

Unit Mission: The Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the Faculty of Dentistry is committed to promoting a culture of occupational health and safety, predicting and mitigating potential risks and crises through proactive emergency response plans (such as fires, biological or chemical contamination, technical failures, etc.). Furthermore, the unit aims to train and qualify all faculty personnel (faculty members, students, administrative staff, and workers) and provide a safe working environment that protects lives, facilities, and modern medical equipment.

This unit operates under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Unit Vision:

The Information Technology Unit strives to promote a culture of e-services for students, faculty members, teaching assistants, and administrative staff, while training them to adapt to these services. This aims to contribute alongside all college departments to achieving a qualitative leap across various work domains within and outside the college, reaching an outstanding level of performance.

Unit Mission:

The Information Technology Unit works on spreading the culture of e-services within the college among all beneficiaries ("students, faculty, and administrative staff") and activating these services by providing mechanisms for interactive communication. The goal is to transition toward electronic transactions that serve educational, research, and community service pillars.

Unit Scope of Work:

As part of its responsibilities, the unit uploads e-books, manages and monitors the creation of academic emails, updates the college website with the latest news and events, and supervises the uploading of online exams.

Role of the Unit:

The unit is responsible for offering academic courses and uploading schedules onto the Student Information System (SIS). It monitors the academic advising process as well as paper and electronic course registration in coordination with academic level coordinators and academic advisors.

Located on the ground floor, it is equipped with the following devices: Periapical X-ray machines, Periapical sensors,  Panoramic X-ray unit, and Cone Beam CT unit.

It is located on the ground floor and contains the following equipment: Autoclaves, distillation, and instrument packaging devices.

The Measurement and Evaluation Unit is the entity responsible for developing and enhancing the quality of student assessment, ensuring that examinations accurately and fairly measure the required intended learning outcomes (ILOs).

Its main responsibilities include:

• Preparing and developing examination systems and assessment methods.

• Reviewing question quality to ensure validity, reliability, and objectivity.

• Analyzing exam results and surveys to extract key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Training faculty members on modern measurement and evaluation techniques.

• Contributing to quality assurance and academic accreditation by improving the evaluation process

The unit supports the educational process and scientific research by efficiently managing laboratories and equipment. Its main responsibilities include:

• Providing, maintaining, and ensuring the readiness of laboratories and scientific equipment for use.

• Supervising equipment operation and enforcing safety procedures within the laboratories.

• Supporting practical and educational activities for students and faculty members.

• Supplying laboratories with required tools, materials, and consumables.

• Following up on routine maintenance and equipment calibration to ensure accurate results.

• Contributing to scientific research support and developing laboratory infrastructure
